Hello Everyone!

I'm relatively new to Kiva and have found it to be very addictive Smiley I'm getting ahead of myself...anyway, I've been wondering for the past few days if there is a way to track entrepreneurs I may have lent to in the past...in case they applied for another loan, and I'd be interested in lending to them again. Is there a way to be notified?

Hello Lilybelle

Welcome to KF and I took the liberty to look at your lender page...
... 8 loans since you decided to lend - looks like you are 'hooked' to me Smiley

I am sure someone with more experience will post...
But I have never seen any way to track a borrower after the loan is paid back.

I am sure you could do a search by name on the lend page but other than that, there are no 'official' connections that Kiva provides - that I know of.

Be well, jan

Welcome, Lilybelle -
I have seen a link on a loan page referring back to a previous loan the borrower made through Kiva. But that is the rare exception.  Your desire has been expressed before but apparently it isn't an easy thing to accomplish.

Very few borrowers have such universal things like social security numbers in the US so that a clear identity can be linked.  Names are often duplicated and we wonder whether they are the same person or not.

The MFI Field Partner sometimes will mention loans which a borrower has already repaid but unless you keep an eagle eye on all the listings from that particular MFI, it would not be likely that you could spot a subsequent loan before it was fully subscribed.
