- Updated all the data to today and added few others.

If you have any data regarding parts of this graph in which you are involved or that you have accessed and that you feel should be in for the purpose of having a complete picture, you can always PM me or post them here. (These could be "special KF projects or other Kiva-related projects you are aware or part of, Kiva Web spaces you have accessed, data about some specifc areas of the graph, etc).  Smiley

Thanks,
Damien

Dear all,

A bit of updates on my work for who is inerested and anyway for saving here some visible information.
Apologies for my absence, I had the chance to spend some time in Oxford where I had to work on other matters and some theoretical refining for my research.
I have anyway kept reading KivaFriends discussions and Kiva-related blogs during all these days.

I have updated the graph posted the first time few months ago and still, always available here: http://www.drawanywhere.com/live/15455.jpg .
I had the chance to show it at a Kiva event in London, where I met Matt, Premal and many other beautiful supporters, friends and collaborators of Kiva.
Any of you KivaFriends there I missed?

All the best,
Damien

Damien,

It's great to see you back. I hope your work (and play) in Oxford was rewarding. Very interesting chart, by the way. The connections are vast.

Thank you Scott!  Smiley

Other updates very soon, also for the KivaFriends who haven't had the chance to speak to me or receive my first personal messages.  Wink

Concerning the chart, I want to capture the most important flows and thus simplify the picture, while keeping adding every space and contribution to the equation.

Oxford was amazing from all respects, academic work in primis. Smiley
I couldn't manage to be at Matt and Premal's talk at a huge Conference on social entrepreneurship at Oxford Business School, but met them the same night in London after realizing they were there.

Dear KivaFriends,

As written at the beginning of this post and as some of you know,

My name is Damien Lanfrey, 29, Italian/French PhD Candidate at City University of London, Department of Sociology.

I have been working on researching online activism and Web-native platforms for social change for the past two years. My research "Social Web-native organizations, generative activism and the future of collective action online" includes, among different case studies, also Kiva and its enriching community KivaFriends.  Smiley
I decided to include Kiva in my study quite some time ago since almost its very beginning and so I did with KivaFriends since its birth. Still almost nobody have noticed Kiva in the academic world, especially in Europe. One of the objectives is of course that of making Kiva's inspiring experience, model and your engagement around it known to the academic community and beyond.

I have been following the discussions, speaking to members of Kiva staff, analysed and reconstructed Kiva's Web presence and finally closely looking the wonderful experience of you, KivaFriends, increasingly meaningful and important for Kiva.
In this context I have followed all the discussions and spoken with and submitted a survey to KivaFriends' early most active users.
I am now about to complete my work and would love to add the experience of all of you, KivaFriends members and readers, your personal engagement with Kiva, KivaFriends and other Kiva Web spaces.

In order to make things simpler and less invasive than a telephone call, I have designed and online questionnaire.
I would be really grateful if you could fill it, as I am keen in completing my knowledge about you and the kind of engagement that Kiva can generate through its supporters.
Moreover, I will be in San Francisco for the last two weeks of July at Kiva and will be really happy to donate my research to them, in person, before presenting them in international conferences.

You can access the questionnaire and fill this here: http://www.stellarsurvey.com/s.aspx?u=77320F3E-9B3C-4846-97E3-BB35D980D2DC&

- I have shortened the questionnaire a lot and is only 18 questions, mostly involving no writing. It should take between 10 and 15 minutes, no more than this, to fill it and it is divided into 7 categories, all very short. Smiley
- The survey is open and directed to all KivaFriends members or readers.
- Of course, KivaFriends members who have already talked to me and had already filled the survey sent some months ago are exempted. Smiley

Should you have any question or comment don't hesitate to post it here, send me a PM or simply write me at the e-mail address present at the top of each survey page.

Thanks already in advance for your time and support,

Damien

I really can't remember whether I did this survey in the past or not...

so I took it - and if it's a duplicate - I sure hope I didn't change my answers too much Smiley

Quick update. Already 10 people filled the survey in its not even entire first day. (UPDATE - 22 filled questionnaires)
Don't think many have seen it, hence response rate was good.
Thank you very much for this.  Grin

I hope that many many more will add their answers so that the overall feedback will grow in consistency (when consistent, sharing will be even more a pleasure).

I'll keep this topic updated when I can so to make this visible, so please forgive me in advance for that.  Wink

Any other suggestion/proposal/nice strategy from you all on ow to make this more visible is greatly appreciated.

Survey link still here: http://www.stellarsurvey.com/s.aspx?u=77320F3E-9B3C-4846-97E3-BB35D980D2DC&  SOS ...Smiley

Since you are polling KFrs and many of the questions re: KF, will you be sharing results here too?

Unilove,

I was thinking to do so, yes, but only if ok for the KivaFriends community.  Smiley

I was also going to share previous research I've done (things like the chart I am constantly updating in this post, but also several others) and presentations done on Kiva; the only condition I am posing myself is to have some time to put things together by sometimes around the end of July.  Smiley

Hope this sounds fine.

Update: 26 Questionnaires filled. Thank you very much to all of you who filled the survey already.  Thumbs Up Grin

I hope that many many more will keep adding their answers so to get consistent results:
