Peter,

Trust me. It's better this way. Even if we Americans managed to find the proper conversion factor between o'clocks and hectares, we'd never get the math right.

I should have made myself clearer.  I wasn't suggesting that the actual timing of the call was US-centric, just that the presentation of the time ("2pm PST / 5pm EST") could usefully have included a little nod towards the many Kiva lenders in Europe and Australia and elsewhere who will be able to join the call.

At least put the time in GMT and force everyone to do the math Smiley  Being very US-centric for a moment...that is one thing the internet has taught me I am -8 GMT

Well, that is everyone except Peter  Laugh (and the other lenders from UK/Ireland and Portugal...)

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

If anyone has a question for Premal for this conference call I am sitting next to him and you can PM me your message and I will pass it to him.  I am also in the chat room.

From the call, my distinct impression is that this policy was proposed solely (or at least primarily) to help fund Kiva operations in light of a shortfall in donations.

This was obviously the first order of business, so being my usual late self, and missing the first hour...

I guess I will have to wait for Diane and Peter to tell me what was discussed Smiley

jan...

The summary of yesterday's conference call is now posted.  As the questions and answers ranged more widely than the new Unused Credit Policy, it's in a new thread....

.... here : Kiva Community Conference Call with Premal Shah, Dec 17th 2008
