I'm French and can understand English (to be understood is sometimes more dificult). I was interested in Kiva project and thus invest.

I didn't find such a site in France (with a direct link funds > projects). Wouldn't it be interesting to have :
- site translation in different languages,
- "friend sites" in different countries (ie France) to promote Kiva but without creating any organization, just advertising and sending people to the main site.

I think that the idea of "friend sites", or of "home and explanation" pages in foreign languages, is good. When they come to the home page in English from a link on a, say, French page, many potential lenders don't bother to understand what it is about, whereas they would indeed make the effort to try to read the English texts if they had gone through a French introduction.
I could do such translation work to French, I have not volonteered up to now because Kiva doesn't seem to lack English->French translators and because of my discontinuous availability, but translating a few web pages once and for all is no problem as far as I am concerned.
