Maybe you want to consider this loan (out of 1473, right now) that is still fundraising - while the photo is not so accomplished, it is a loan with the same Field Partner, AMK in Cambodia, and the borrower is also a 55-year-old farmer with a big family:
Chhom Penhhttp://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=78170&_tpos=7&_tpg=1
Mrs. Chhom Penh lives in Angk village in Kandal Province. She and her husband, Mr. Touch Khuon, own land and cultivate rice with a lot of hard work to earn money. They do not have much money to support their farm. Thus, Mrs. Chhom Penh has decided to ask for a loan to buy rice seed, fertilizer, and pesticides, and to hire laborers to work on their field. She is 55 years old and the mother of five children. Two of her children are employed in garment factory, another is a farmer, and the others attend the local school.
It is a 17-months-loan, monthly repayment, with AMK, Cambodia (5*), $325 of $400 still needed, posted 7 Dec; already disbursed 21 Nov.
Should you have any questions about lending/loan selection etc., feel free to ask.
Best wishes,
Wolfgang.
