Dear kivafriends users,

I am a student currently performing a research project about online marketplaces for development projects such as Kiva.org
The aim of my project is to find out whether or not the website www.akvo.org, an online marketplace for water and sanitation development projects aimed at businesses and NGO's is suitable for individual investors such as you.
To find out more about this topic I have built a questionnaire to assess whether investors like you would be interested. I would appreciate it if you can help me in my research and fill in the questionnaire: http://www.eSurveysPro.com/Survey.aspx?id=494dcb89-f743-4b22-a512-904937fe9e03. The password is f45a8c.

Feel free to contact me and ask me about my research or with any other comments, my email address is a.jambagi@gmail.com

Thank you
Akhila

Filled it in. Good luck with your research project! Interesting website.

Many people here are very fond of Education Generation  When Akvo will be open to the general public it will be a bit alike, although the focus is different of course.

Welcome to KF, Akhila  Hat Wave

The survey only took me a few minutes - hope it helps.

and Joan...

nice plug for EducationGeneration - we do love them too.

edit: I just added the RSS feed for www.akvo.org to my reader, I would like to follow the progress of your initiative.

In your profile you say you were working for AKVO? but in your first post here you say you are a student.  Could you give us a little more information about that?
Thanks, jan

Absolutely. I am a high-school student, following Business and Management as a course at school. We have a big assignment where we have to do research about/for a business. I worked for Akvo last summer, and I decided to do my project with them rather than with a profit organization.
I will be happy to share the results of the survey on this website.

I filled out the survey too.  AKVO.org looks like it could be very interesting.  Keep up the good work!  Smiley

I filled out the survey, also. You might be interested in looking at www.buyameter.org. This is a project in the US. I believe it has been successful, and that any water projects in the developing world would find equal support. It seems they already have, based on a quick look at Akvo
