I urge all members to take advantage of MTV's offer to donate $25 for loaning purposes to each Kiva lender. You can receive a free gift certificate at:

http://think.mtv.com/044FDFFFF009896EF00080099073B/User/Blog/BlogPostDetail.aspx

Personally, I think this is a magnificently generous offer by MTV. What do you guys think?

Hm, I did not read the terms before signing up and so I just did it though I am German. As Germany has also a zip code consisting of 5 numbers there was no problem, only that I am counted now as Mount Vernon, NY (why do I fell like having a deja-vu? Smiley) My friend request was also already approved so maybe they are not looking too deep into the details.

We will see ...

what a good idea Wolfgang - I couldn't join because our postal code is 6 digits...

so I just picked 5 numbers... and I was accepted...

and now I live in Gorman Texas.

Feels a little shady - but we'll see if the end justifies the means  Cool

ps - I found the inbox that you have to watch for the gift certificate, I heard it takes about a week and they don't send it to you email, you have to watch your inbox.

Yes, I think 'the ends justifies the means' could really come into play here. I also wonder about their enforcement of the 1-per-person policy and possible maneuvers around that. While I only made one user, I see absolutely no limitation on how that could be kept in check.
