Then why is its default rate 0.00%? Undecided  (Once again, I shall stifle myself from commenting further, except for this teeny-tiny message.) Roll Eyes

The stats pages are updated only once per day ("Updated as of March 16, 2009 2:16 AM").  The loans have been set to a "Default" status since then.

P.S. (What more can be said? Laugh)

Edit:  To fix typo

With PEMCI loans now defaulted, there are currently 1,986 defaults on Kiva:

WEEC 886
MIFEX 734
SEED 184
PEMCI 148
SAO 11
Shurush 7
East Africa Beta 7
REDC 6
GHAPE 2
DINARI 1 (doubtful)

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

I Just got the email that my loan to Joseph Ngigi Mwigai in Kenya was marked as defaulted today. That's sad, I hope that he's ok. It's a tough situation, doing business (for both the MFIs and the entrepreneurs) in these areas.

The loans' status has (unlike that of the FP page) been updated only today (see replies #8 to #10 in this thread).

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

The stats on the partner pages are updated nightly, even if the last change to the partner's status was made two hours, two days or even two months ago.  So because the stats were last updated last night, and the loans were only defaulted today, the default rate being shown (i.e. as at last night) is correct - 0.00%.

P.S.  I'm "Ian", you're "Richard", I'm not sure who "counting" is.  (Or is that "Count Ing"?)

I'm really worried about Friendship Bridge in Guatemala and Pro Mujer in Bolivia.  My group account has a big balance outstanding on both of them and both are significantly behind in their payments on my loans.  Ian's spreadsheet has showed me by how much.  Anyone else have loans with them?  I saw that FB made payments, but they're far from caught up.  I will be very sad and shocked and ashamed to have to tell my group that these MFIs aren't paying off the loans we have out to them.  Here's hoping that won't come to pass.

EbF I've totally written off.  That's only about 2% of our total loaned funds, though.  If FB and PM don't make it, we're talking a serious hit.  =(

Tatiana,

if you are talking about these three loans:

http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=50815

http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=58467

http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=58473

none of them seems to be delinquent to me.

All my Pro Mujer and FB loans are current, too.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

EDIT: Correction... the second loan seems to be technically delinquent... by $0.03.
