Dear Kiva Members,

Our names are Stephen Young and Roy Burstein, we are students in the Department of Geography at the University of Washington. We are currently doing research on the topic of Internet Microfinance and Global Citizenship and have prepared a short survey on this topic. We would be extremely grateful if KIVA members would take a few minutes to voluntarily fill out this survey, which you can access here https://catalysttools.washington.edu/webq/survey/sjy2/66320
All responses will be anonymous.  If you have any questions regarding this survey please contact us at sjy2@u.washington.edu

Thank you!

That will confuse your results - I just listed my reason for lending through Kiva as "so that I can create Stats".  Cheesy

Hey - it's a valid reason!!  I can't help it if I'm a nerd and helping other people is just a secondary benefit of my nerdishness.

EDIT:  Oops - there goes my anonymity - there probably won't be more than one survey submitted with that answer Laugh

All responses will be anonymous.

Will they? With questions about number of loans, age, sex and city/country, individual Kiva lenders could probably rather easily be identified (as long as they don't come from SF or NYC, maybe) unless they have anonymous lender pages... (I don't know why anyone would bother, though Wink ).

These questions are too specific for my taste.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

My thoughts also.
How are questions #3 & #10 pertinent to a survey for the Geography Dept.?
