Hi all, I know that Kiva's staff are busy...but it will be good to make a new forum category: "Suggestions".

I like this suggestion Maybe a wiki would be a better place to develop ideas?

Prospers.org has a forum and wiki under the same SMF engine used here. I support both suggestions. Maybe a whole new "To/From Kiva" section could be added... Questions, Suggestions, Bugs/Issues, Announcements or what have you.

The Wiki is weak against vandalism and is time-consuming/awful to manage. I think Kiva's staff have something else to do than reviewing/monitoring every Wiki's change...
I myself corrected an article on Wikipedia one time, but a moron came afterward and changed it back: there is no way I'll use my time to educate others~... I guess most Wiki's readers don't bother too: they just switch to another page and don't modify it.
Anyway, this post is my personal perspective~.

If I agreed with you on wikis, I obviously wouldn't have suggested it. The wiki would be for topics that are of longer-term interest, can have multiple contributors, but continually get "buried" on a discussion board. To date, the Prospers.org wiki hasn't had any vandalism problems. If you don't like wikis, you don't need to frequent them. Leave them to folks who like them. I've made thousands of edits on Wikipedia and started many of the pages at Prospers.org. It's not that big a deal to edit. If Joe decides to set it up, I'll help get it going.
The "Suggestion" discussion topic would be "To Kiva." That's quite simple to create and read. It might even take some traffic off Kiva's e-mail load.

Let's wait " for the King's decision" then . Regarding vandalism @ Prosper: just wait for some people to be defrauded, and we'll re-talk about that~. Risks have started to increase.

Hey guys. I've pondered adding a "suggestions" forum before after seeing some posts that would easily fit in such a category. My main concern was having too many sub-forums that either confuse people or just don't get used very often. However if it'll be put to good use, I don't see why not. Especially if it's aimed at Kiva staff. Perhaps it'll also help with organizing good ideas so they don't get lost in the shuffle as the community continues to grow.
A Wiki could be interesting. I've seen the good and bad side of those and have edited many over the years. Perhaps an Kiva FAQ subsection, with posts or a thread that can be edited by any member on the forum would achive the same purpose. I'd have to see if that's even possible.

The King have talked! It would be a new sub-category for now~. Thanks Joe. A Wiki could be interesting. I've seen the good and bad side of those and have edited many over the years. It took me a lot of clicks to find this forum... you should put a link in the menu at the top of the page.
