Hi, I´m currently traveling in Peru and other parts of South America. I´ve done much work with NGOs and working people here so far.  There are some local people I´ve met here that could truely benefit from connecting up with Kiva and maybe being awarded a loan.  How can I connect them to Kiva?  I haven´t found any information yet since the website is obviously more dedicated to the lender side of the deal.  Any information or ideas would really be helpful. Thanks!

Hi pswalton,

I suggest that you look at the Kiva partners' page http://www.kiva.org/about/partners/ as there are a number of MFI's Kiva is partnered with in Peru.

You can also email contactus@kiva.org for information:  you're correct that this is a group of Kiva supporters and not Kiva staffers.

I hope that some of the entrepreneurs you've met will indeed end up getting loans from a Peruvian MFI.

Sincerely,

Laure

Hi pswalton, and welcome to KF,

short answer: you can't.

But... you can connect them with a Kiva Field Partner in Peru that can then decide whether to post their loan application on Kiva.

Current Kiva Field Partners in Peru are:

Asociación Arariwa

FINCA Peru

Microfinanzas PRISMA

Manuela Ramos / CrediMUJER

EDAPROSPO

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.
