Help please for a newbie Kiva friend...

Huh?

I submitted an application for the KF10 class online last week but when I pressed submit the page went blank and I had no confirmation that the form was sent. It was the new style application form and had only been changed only a couple of days before (I had been working on my application form beforehand and then all the questions suddenly changed overnight!) so i wonder if it is a techie problem?

I sent off the budget form and my CV as requested and asked for someone to get back to me just to confirm they had received it but i have not heard anything. I then submitted it all again just in case but the same thing happened! I don't want to annoy the Fellow Program recruiters by bombarding them with my application and so I better not try again but I really hope they got it!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
wannabe Fellow, Nicki

Hi Nicki,

and welcome to KivaFriends. It's so great that you are applying for the KF10 class - good luck with it, and please keep us posted.

Maybe instead of going through the routine all over again you contact Kiva CS (contactus@kiva.org) and/or send Fellows co-ordinator Zack a lender message on Kiva (http://www.kiva.org/lender/zackturner)?

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

Hi Nicki and  Welcome to kiva friends!

Good luck with your fellows application.

I just wanted to mention in case you were not aware that yesterday (Monday, May 25th) was a holiday here in the United States, so it's possible that not very many people were in the offices to attend to your question.  Hopefully you will hear something back very soon.

Please do let us know what happens!

Hope you had more luck with your application...

I just saw this as part of today's Kiva blog...

Quote
KF9 applicants recently had trouble submitting their application via our web application. We discovered that a software bug broke the application between May 23rd and May 27th. The Kiva Fellows Program did not receive your application if you applied during that timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please resubmit your application soon. The application deadline for KF9 is Monday June 1st (although we accept applications on a rolling basis).

best of luck, Nicki
we will watch for your success

 Cheesy
Thank you everyone for your well-wishings and advice!

I received an email from the Kiva Fellows Program Team last night telling me about the problems they've been having and asking me to re-submit my application (which I have now done!)

Fingers crossed for the application and i will of course keep you all updated!
