I tried to post pictures from our bird walk but was unsuccessful.  I can post lender photos but not personal ones. I tried the attachment/browse, the [img][img] insert to no avail.  I did a search for posting photos and the tips topic, alas no success.  I am definitely not doing this correctly.  Help! SOS I need help from any of you computer whizzes.  I know there are quite a number of you.

Thanks,  Bernice  Scratch Head

Hi Bernice,

I guess your pictures are stored on your hard-drive at home and not on the internet (using for example http://www.flickr.com , http://www.photobucket.com or similar services)... in that case the [ img][ /img] command won't be of any use and you will have to attach the photos to your post.

To do this, write your reply, click on Attachment - Browse..., select the first picture file on your hard-drive and click "Open" - this should enter the path to the picture file into the "box" next to "Attach:" - to attach a second picture, click on "(more attachments)" and repeat. You can add up to 20 pictures or up to 5000 KB (whichever is less). For many and/or large pictures, uploading them to one of the web-sharing services might be a good idea, though, to save server space on KF.

Should you need any further assistance, please do say so.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

Dear Wolfgang,
I had tried that last night.  Thank you for both yours and Jane's quick response.  I tried again this AM and no pictures show up on the preview.  When I try to just post, it acts like it is trying to download.  After about 1 minute the screen goes blank.  The open window tab then changes from discussion forum to the following:
http://www.kiva...rt=160; board=4.
I give up on the desk top MAC and on to the laptop HP.  I also tried several photos to see if the size was to big.  Alas, no luck and time to move on.

Awww... I would have liked to see the pics....  Maybe you can email the pics to someone who will post them for you?
