This probably isn't exactly the right thread for this, but when looking around, it was as close as I could come.
Since this is about a Kiva Video and since it is about a YouTube Kiva Video, I thought you all would forgive me for posting it in the contest thread even when it isn't about a contest.

What this is about is a John Larson 6 1/2 minute video

I just now came across it when looking for something to send some of my most recent Gift Certificate recipients, by way of explanation and a walk-through, for them, essentially, an introduction into what Kiva is all about.

It is Not the show we all just watched on CNBC, the Business Nation piece.  It's a lot simpler, no bells and whistles,
no giraffes or elephants.

But I thought it was really clear, really good, and really, one of the better nuts and bolts explanatory shows I've seen yet.
If this was already posted, long ago, and if you all already knew about it, well, sorry.  It was new for me.

that's great Jill.  Just the thing to send with Gift Certificates to recipients who are coming to Kiva without any prior knowledge of it.  Thanks.

Another one to send to, better yet, to watch along with ** the Kiva (and Microfinance) Uninitiates whom you're trying to walk through the looking-glass with your Kiva Gift Certificate:

The guy may be ADD/HD, is constantly, inscrutably talking Hank-this & Hank-that, refers to stupid nature when he nearly chokes on a gnat he swallows in the middle of the video, but it's actually GREAT.  It's short and it's sweet and it lays microfinance out with a kind of funny Microfinance for Dummies clarity, and I'll bet you'll like it if you haven't already seen it, but yes, it has been around for awhile.....

**             Just as I watched a Kiva video I'd put onto a DVD with my friend, new KF Brooke, last night and with some unwitting guy-friend of hers who just happened to stop by when I was over, whom I immediately sat on and compelled to watch and listen and breathe (and do proper obeisance to) Kiva with us.
