Im using this forum for the first time - so I am not sure if this is the right place to post this....
I have a few questions concerning a Kiva lending team I have created (background: the team is ment to be for our wedding guests, inviting them to invest through Kiva instead of wedding gifts):

- We would like to suggest/ post specific entrepreneurs/ activities on our team site – is that possible?

- Is it possible that we and other team members do NOT see how much one of the members has given/ to keep this anonmymous?

- Do we have to invite members through online invitation via the Kiva webpage or can we provide them with a link and password in our wedding invitiation and they can choose whether they want to go on the webpage and join the team or not, without having to refuse our online invitation?

Thanks a lot!

Hi al,

and welcome to KivaFriends. What a great idea to set up a team like this.

- We would like to suggest/ post specific entrepreneurs/ activities on our team site – is that possible?

Yes, you can post such messages to the team messageboard. Just log in and go to the team summary page, there you will see a box to enter a message for the board. Members of the team that haven't opted-out will then also receive an e-mail regarding and containing your post.

The amount of an individual contribution is hidden anyway - but you cannot hide the "total" sum, I am afraid. So especially with the first contributions it might be rather obvious. The same goes for the number of loans one lender contributes - this is only shown in the lender's own portfolio and not accessible by other team members - with few team members and the first contributions, this information, too, might be rather obvious, though.

This depends on whether you create an "open" or a "closed" team. Anybody can join an "open" team (even without a password). A "closed" team can be joined either by following the invitation by a Team Captain or by applying and being then confirmed by a Team Captain.

I hope this is helpful and answers your questions. If not or should you have further questions, feel free to ask again or send me a Personal Message (if you so wish: in German).

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.
