Kivapedia now includes many of these items at Kiva Timeline.

Because this new location is a wiki, you can help expand it to your heart's desire!  Cheesy

And...because the pages are cross-linked, we still can discuss Kiva news and website traffic here. Is that cool or what?!  Grin

I thought it might be interesting to compare Kiva's traffic growth with the growth (or otherwise) of person-to-person lending platform Prosper.com and eBay's new venture, MicroPlace.com.

These Alexa graphs should continuously update. At the moment, it looks as though Kiva will draw level with and then overtake Prosper.com in terms of percentage daily reach to worldwide internet users sometime next year.  It is almost level with Prosper already in terms of global traffic rank.

The "reach" graph seems to show Prosper firmly established in a downtrend, which given the subprime crisis is not surprising - what the world does not need more of is junk loans.  MicroPlace after a brief spike a few weeks ago when it launched under eBay's wing, seems to be creating not much of an impression at the moment.

this Alexa page is where the graphs come from.  More info there about what reach and traffic rank mean.  Looking at the national traffic rank analysis below the graph on that page, it's maybe interesting to note that the traffic rank of Kiva in the USA is pretty much equal to what it is in Norway, while Kiva's rank is highest in Canada.

edit: although the graphs above worked OK when first posted, for some reason now they don't, so here is a screenshot of what the "reach" graph looked like on Dec 13th:
