New product at the Kiva Store.  A box of Kiva-branded lanyards arrived late last week, and I just got to put the order page up now.  Enough wristbands were sold to allow us to expand into a new product area, and lanyards are it!  Hope you like 'em.

And of course all the profits go toward Kiva's operational expenses (and more inventory).

My order showed up today. They look great! I'll be using mine for keys and for USB thumb drives that I always have hanging around my neck. Smiley

Right!  Good thinking.  I keep forgetting that other things have keyrings besides..... keys.  I might just use a USB key drive on a lanyard for one of the promo shots on the website.

I ordered 5 this morning.  I have two sets of keys on lanyards, a name badge, a usb drive, and my digital camera that goes everywhere with me.

Any plans in the future to get glasses keepers?  Smiley

Hi Cyn,

Your lanyards on the the way.  Should show up next week.

Glasses keepers?  It's a possibility.  I'll investigate and add it to my mental list.

Hi Chris,

Forgive my scepticism but... can you give me some more information on your KivaStore? I don't mean to sound rude but, how do I know it's legit? There's no actual contact info on the site, no person's full name, no address or phone number.

Are you a registered charity? How do I know that the proceeds really do go to Kiva?

Where do you ship to? What are your privacy, shipping, return policies etc? This is some info you should be adding to your site...

(I tend to be cautious before shopping at an online retailer that I'm unfamiliar with.)

Chris is the person who printed and mailed our 2008 Kiva Calendars.  He did an awesome job with that.

I have received items from his Kivastore and can vouch for his veracity.

I bought the lanyard and it arrived in great time...oh, and I think I recall having received a bunch of calendars from him.  Wink

Are you a registered charity?

No.

How do I know that the proceeds really do go to Kiva?

You don't.  But having a direct link from kiva.org should elicit some trust.  The proceeds go toward increasing stock and starting projects such as the calendar.

Where do you ship to?

Worldwide.  This is on the About page.

What are your privacy, shipping, return policies etc? This is some info you should be adding to your site...

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the ship-to location.

Returns?  We don't get any of those (-:

Privacy policy... this is something I've been meaning to get around to.

(I tend to be cautious before shopping at an online retailer that I'm unfamiliar with.)

Likewise, and this is one of the reasons that KivaStore uses Paypal; I never see your credit card or bank account details.

I too can vouch for ordering from Chris with the kivastore.  Before the holidays I put in a bulk order for lanyards for stocking stuffers for my family.  They arrived promptly and in good order.  They are of an impressive quality too!

Hi!

I just wanted to write a quick testimonial regarding my order from the KivaStore.org.

I ordered 2 piggy banks and 5 lanyards, and they were shipped to Southern Ontario (Canada) and arrived within one week! Unfortunately, one of my banks had an ear cracked off (probably some shipping incident), and the KivaStore shipped me a replacement immediately which just arrived, again only a week later.

So, I just wanted to comment that the products are of excellent quality, amazingly inexpensive, shipping (cross-border even!) was very fast, and customer service was great!

Thanks Chris! A great service you're doing for Kiva!  Thumbs Up

I, too, love  Kiss my green piggies.  I had in mind giving one to my Kiva-lender brother, but I think it's going to stick here with me  Embarrassed : one upstairs and one downstairs.

There's a chance something else will sneak in before the 2009 calendar starts ramping up.
