From the KF Registration Agreement:

Quote
1. Kiva is an organization that only lends to developing third-world countries.

Update required unless the US recession is worse than I thought Smiley

The moderating team will put this on the list of things we'd like Joe to fix, since he's the only one with sufficient authority.  Unfortunately he is not a regular participant here at the moment, so it may be a while before this gets fixed.  Thanks for noting it.

In the last few days, my plumbing got all stopped up, then my power was off for most of 2 days.  Now my dryer just broke (loud banging sound, then totally dead), so I'm hanging wet clothes up all over the place.  I'm thinking my house in the US is reminding me a bit of the third world, lately.

Laugh  I know!  A real first world weakling, I am.  Waah. Cry

Modern camping-out in one's own home is good for the soul occasionally.  I hope things start looking up soon...

(And yes, something like this does help put things in perspective, doesn't it.)

Yes, Diane.  It seems we have to lose things from time to time in order to fully appreciate them.  I'm so thankful for all the good things in my life, especially plumbing that works!  Plumbing, in my opinion, is the jewel in the crown of western technological civilization.   Grin
