Yeah, I spotted that at the time, Henry. They were posted in the same batch on Feb 22nd/23rd when I was intrigued by the baby's foot. (The pattern in the dress of the person under the table is not on the outfits of those other two borrowers, so I don't think it's one of them.)
Don't think it's anything to be concerned about. Top class Field Partner of course (LAPO). I think probably these women share the rent on that space in the hardware section of the market, which means collectively they can meet the needs of hardware customers whether they're looking for hinges, door levers, padlocks, pliers, hammers etc. There's a fair bit of working capital tied up in what you see across the three pictures, probably beyond the reach of any one of them as an individual. The way Rashidat is positioned in that photo with the foot, I'm guessing she's the hammer specialist.

I like the way Abbas Bangura from Sierra Leone uses the back of his spotlessly clean taxi to tell everyone what he's into. Something for everyone really. Apart from God, we have twin decals of Madonna in the rear window, the American flag on the rear mudflaps, and on the bumper he proclaims his allegiance to Manchester United (universally abbreviated to Man United) a quite good English football team -- that's soccer for anyone who thinks football is played with an oval ball. http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=41541Manchester United have a huge following in Sierra Leone (and in the rest of Africa). The club is working with UNICEF to promote AIDS/HIV awareness amongst the young people there: http://www.unicef.org.uk/press/news_detail_full_story.asp?news_id=1069

I saw that one, too. Yeah, I agree it's WAY too vague, picture and description wise.

Is it just me, or do these women look like a bunch of teenagers?! Maybe it's that great Tajikistani weather!

I wonder what the connections among this group of women might be.
