As this lady is from the same community bank as the one Jennifer posted earlier today, I had to examine this hat very closely just to ensure it wasn't the same hat being passed round from member to member "Pssst, listen, there's this lending team on Kiva and they're a bit mad and lend to people who wear funky headgear - put it on just for the photo.  You'll fund really quickly - trust us!"  However, it seems this lady's black band is a little wider than Cirila's (a sign of status within the group perhaps?)  - Just kidding Tongue

Encarnación is a member of the "San Martin de Zurite" community bank which is located in Zurite district, in Anta province, in Cusco department.

Encarnación is 51 years old, married, and has nine children. She divides her time between her daily activities and her business selling vegetables. She sells tomatoes, onions, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce and other vegetables. She sells her products in Zurite market, from 7.00am to 1.00pm. Through her business, she gets her children ahead in life.

I also posted this to the Women in Hats team but just had to share it here too for those who aren't necessarily a member of that team.  I just loved this little girl's hat but what swung it for me was the inside-out Dora the Explorer top.  Absolutely gorgeous!

Woman with hat and (possibly electric, but we can't see their eyes) sheep.
This is Raquilda, from Hauncavelica, Peru, who is using her Kiva loan to buy trees,
which she and her husband will cut into firewood for sale.

Don't you love the sheep's red collars?

Absolutely -- the red collars, the pinks in Raquilda's clothes, and the background greens, make this an eye-catching photo, IMO.

From the Andes of Ecuador, one hell of a hat-wearing group.
Lovin' the braids, too!
