This thread is being opened as a place to converge on a set of requirements for the "Some News For You" section of My Portfolio.  Please offer your input about what you think should be available here, and what tools would make it workable and meaningful.  I hope to provide a coherent list for Gerard at the KF Liaison call in late August, 2009.

1-Room for more than 5 items - the number 10 is nice.
2-The ability to delete an item.  (This allows you to delete "meaningless" messages to make room for more important ones.)

3 - The ability to somehow see a list of all recent past "Some News For You" items, or at least all those from the past month.

Yes, but I'd even suggest an archive of all "news" - if that can be managed capacity-wise -, possibly divided into categories "journal updates" / "lender messages" / "new team members" (for Team captains) / "team messages". Or at least a place where all journal updates are listed.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

Yes, Yes, Yes.  Definitely a permanent archive for the journal entries--after they have been put in their separate section of the news.

That way they won't be buried by team messages because of the aggregated list in chronological order.

I was going to comment that changes to this don't seem very high on the priority list to me, but a link here to see journal updates or journal comments on my loans would be great!  (I'm not sure I've ever noticed journal updates here in the first place amid the message notices.)

A way to archive my journal posts for my loans, or a tab for it.

Team messages need to be moved into a separate place.

First, they are not "news".  Second, there is already a place for My Teams and My Messages with an archive.

The Updates from the Field and the Journals have no similar archive so I suggest that "Some News for You" be restricted to those types and a permanent archive be added.  If this was done, showing the last five would be sufficient.

Yes, I totally agree that there should be a separate page for journal entries.  It would be nice if every journal entry you had received was listed there, and you could sort them by date and by business ID.
