Is anyone else having problems running the spreadsheet that has a currency loss in their transactions?  If so, is there a way to get it to process that you could share.

Thanks

I've had a look at the problem that Charmaine is having with loans which have had Currency Losses.  The problems occur because the transaction export file contains details regarding the currency losses in rows that have no indication of which loan id those losses belong to.

The rows do contain the entrepreneur's name, so I will have to modify things so that it matches transactions to loans based on name if no id is available.

(Not sure what I'm going to do when there are multiple loans in a portfolio with the same name - e.g. returning entrepreneurs or loans with just a common first name supplied.)

Ian, is there anything new that I should know about that will now allow the summary spreadsheet to work with lines of currency loss?

thanks

Embarrassed  After seeing all those effusive comments in other threads about how much Paul and I considered the lenders needs, and how responsive we were to requests for changes, fixes, etc, I was definitely feeling guilty about not yet having made the changes that were requested about a month ago.  (Or was it two months ago?  Embarrassed Embarrassed)

I will try to have a look at it over this weekend.  (It's a long weekend Smiley - Queen's Birthday holiday on Monday.  Despite a large percentage of Australians saying that they want to change to become a republic, they still want a day off to celebrate the monarch's birthday! Laugh)

Hi Ian - has something happened to the Kiva site as I do not get export files any longer?

I've had the same issue Dagfinn, the shortcuts in the spreadsheet no longer work, but you can still manually download the data from the My Portfolio->Loans page, and the My Credit page.

i haven't used the spreadsheet for quite a long time...  Embarrassed

but today I decided to get myself organized  Cheesy

I still have two issues that bug me...

one is that it always requires me to log in on Explorer even tho I am already logged in with Firefox...
and it does this with each export... damn nuisance, Firefox remembers my password Smiley

the other is those 'unrecognized transactions' bring up an alert box that I have to manually click for it to carry on working so I can't leave my computer and just let it run.  on my summary those 'unrecognized transactions' total $1.91.  are those the pennies that Kiva did those 'fixes' on?

I'm also wondering if I am using the most current version - 2.05.06 Huh?

thanks - it does show me the correct number of loans  Thumbs Up

Sigh - still haven't had any luck getting answers to my questions re the non-standard transaction codes, etc.

I'm thinking that I will have to start from scratch and work out other ways of trying to match transaction history back to loans.

Anyone got a round tuit that I can borrow?

Would there be a way to have the export first compare itself with what is already in my stored file in a way that the manual fixes for these non-standard transactions would stay the same and only new data update the file?

I was holding off working too much with the spreadsheet in hopes that the promised 3rd quarter portfolio tools would see the light of day with Paul/nuclearspike being hired by Kiva.  But alas, he got sent off to work on Team message boards.   Cry

I did this spreadsheet, adding Each KSC account into it...

my donation amount is off by $1.00

Actual  One Donation for $7.50  (Transaction download shows ONE Transaction for $7.50)
Spreadsheet shows   $6.50
 Huh?

It Also appears on the CASH FLOW page - that if we just let the accounts sit - the balance will drop $10.00 just cause???  (not sure about this .... just something I saw that looked $10.00 off)

Sheet attached if anyone is interested....  (i removed the "instruction page" and the PayPal Transaction ID's)
