Thanks for the clarification, Ian - very interesting.

Very interesting, but also very wrong.   Embarrassed

I just looked again and the new repayments are due at the end of the month - currently 7am UTC on the 1st of the month.  The following subset of the scheduled payments results from an API call for business 70983 show the effect of the change from a 15th due date to a "1st" due date, and the effects of changes between PDT and PST.

Code:
  <due_date>2009-02-16T08:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-03-16T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-04-16T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-05-16T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-06-01T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-07-01T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-08-01T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-09-01T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-10-01T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-11-01T07:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2009-12-01T08:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2010-01-01T08:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2010-02-01T08:00:00Z</due_date>
  <due_date>2010-03-01T08:00:00Z</due_date>

So, if we had a "15th" due date before, we really shouldn't be calling it a "1st" due date now.  It is either "16th"/"1st" or it is "15th"/"last day of month".

One thing I forgot to mention earlier (and which has already confused one person) is that the Fundraising loans functionality has now been removed from the Summary Spreadsheet.

Check out the FundraisingLoans spreadsheet if you still require that functionality.

I do know this is not exactly the correct thread, but it's the best I could find on short notice.

First, the cool news: I am being interviewed tomorrow by a reporter for NPR who is doing a story on Kiva's move into the US lending market.  (And yes, as soon as I know the details about when/where the piece will air, I will certainly share those details.)  The reporter will also be interviewing Amanda, of Mandy's Korner, which makes for an interesting tie-in, since I am a lender to her business.

Anyway, as part of the focusing I want to do before the interview, I want to pull together a list of all the loans I've made to entrepreneurs in the USA.  There's no easy way for me to do that using the Kiva site, and I haven't been keeping up with Ian's spreadsheets lately.  Could someone suggest the easiest way I could get this information quickly, is it using this spreadsheet?  Thank you for the help, and sorry to sound clueless.  (And I mean that, I am *very* sorry to sound clueless, as those who know me would attest.)

--Diane (who is up to her eyeballs in every conceivable way just now, and will be happy to delete this post and any responses to keep the thread tidy afterwards...).

if you can access your transactions or export your loans into excel, you can sort. A simpler way might be to do an email search for "ACCION USA" & "Opportunity Fund" - you will see your confirmation emails.

Diane,

I am currently creating a "hacked" spreadsheet based loosely on the code in the CommonLenders one, which just lists your loans with their country.

Should be able to post the results in a few minutes.

Version 2.01

I have just updated the spreadsheet and attached it to the first post in this thread.

Three things have been changed in this version:
  • Loans that were disbursed in USD$ (and therefore had no currency risk to lenders), but which were stored in Kiva's data as "shared" currency risk, were incorrectly being shown as "Shared" currency risk in the spreadsheet.

This has now been changed so that they will show as "N/A" (i.e. to be the same as the other USD$ loans where the lender has no potential currency risk).

  • Where an entrepreneur is shown by Kiva with a name of "Anonymous" or "Anonymous Group" (except to lenders to that loan), the spreadsheet was using that name.  I have now changed the macros so that it will use the name from the export file instead.

  • In the first half of the month (i.e. prior to the 15th) the spreadsheet was incorrectly showing that payments that would be due at the end of the month were actually "expected" already.  This has now been changed to only show payments due at the end of the month to be "expected" once we get to the 15th of the month.

Isn't that just the "Outstanding balance" column?

On the 15th, I expect a settlement payment.  As far as I'm concerned, anything else is gaming one way or another.
