For now, you can click the partner name (in the pink section in the lower right) and it'll open up the Partner page.

That's perfect; I didn't realize it was a link.  This will do fine.  Thumbs Up

Thanks again.

If this is enough of an issue where people wouldn't want to use it due to security/privacy or my concerns over legal liability, then it wouldn't be worthwhile for me to develop it. Thoughts?

I always lend $25, so I probably would not opt to use the feature where I would need to supply my Kiva password.  I wonder for people that lend more, if they tend to always lend the same amount.  If so maybe they could indicate to base figures on $50 per loan for example.

Is Ian's spreadsheet getting the transaction data automatically now?  Last time I looked I thought I had to download the transactions my self and paste in...

Hi Paul,

I'm as embarrassed to report a problem as John was to request a feature, but I made a couple of loans to clients in Azerbaijan today and I'm not seeing Azerbaijan in the country graphs either of total loans or active only. My lender id is alan5513.

Again, great app!

No problem. Yeah, the code that is currently on the server keeps the kiva query results a little too long (12 hours) before it re-queries for lender loans. This is reduced in the next release -- I'd had it turned up higher during testing so that it wouldn't have to keep refetching from kiva all the time. In the interim, I have cleared the server cache of lender data (hopefully not while someone was doing analysis!) and it's showing your azerbaijan loans now. (But if you make more loans it'll not see them until the cache expires again -- or until I've pushed out the new release with a shorter expiration.)

Ian's spreadsheet still gets the ball rolling from the instructions tab and finishes the download updates with a manual paste into the applicable tabs.  I lend different amounts based on different lending models I'm testing.  Counts are fine for most purposes.  I link Ian's amounts cash flow tab to a home budget spreadsheet, so I'll continue to use a spreadsheet version for simple accounting summaries anyway.  I'm just wondering out loud how flexible Paul's snappy app can be without driving him too crazy in the meantime.

I've also thought about allowing the user to manually alter the loan amounts. Most of mine are $25, and there are only a few exceptions to that. So that would work for me and others who have similar lending patterns.

25$ dollar in a loan is enough for me. And tnx for the good work with this apps! Yes Thumbs Up

In the autolending function on kiva is possible to sort / select /exclude on sectors.
I for example prefer not to loan for personal use or housing, but to business expantion.
One more for the whish list! Wink

I for one David makes different size loans - dependent on hard facts like mood, my account balance, geography and pure circumstance naturally Grin

The application looks great, great. great but as long as it count only on a single Kiva credit some data is just useless. . .

Be well, Dagfinn A

I've released v0.2.1.2 which adds 2 things:
1) "Exclude Portfolio Loans", you can enter your Lender ID, press "Go" and it'll grab all of your fundraising loans and remove them from the list. It remembers your lender id between sessions and will auto-fetch your fundraising loans when you return to the app.
2) Sort by Expiring Soon. I'm going to be adding some coloring to expiring loans, it will be much like the New loans coloring but with red instead of yellow. Since loans expire 30 days (720 hours) from the time they are posted, you can flip to the Details tab to see the Posted time to get an idea of when it will expire. I'll likely add an exact expiration date in the future.

Question for Lenders!

1) What data on the Partner page is most valuable to you and kivabank doesn't currently display it?
2) Of that data, what would you want to be able to search or sort on?

Ex:
http://www.kiva.org/partners/119?app_id=org.kivabank

Average Interest Rate and Fees Borrowers Pay (Portfolio Yield)      42%      45%     36.71%
Average Partner Return On Assets (Average Profitability)    7%    5%    0.63%
Average Loan Size (% of Per Capita Income)    10%    10%    48.37%

Total Journals     326     66104
Journal Coverage    27.62%    30.75%
Journal Coverage, Kiva Fellows    0.00%    0.18%
Journal Frequency (Average Per Loan Per Year)    0.67    0.30
Average Number Of Recommendations Per Journal    2.28    8.15

Country: Peru
Capital: Lima
Official Language: Spanish, Quechua, Ayamara
Population: 28,674,757
Avg Annual Income: $6,715
Labor Force: agriculture: 9% industry: 18% services: 73% (2001)
Population Below Poverty Line: 54%
Literacy Rate: 87.7%
Infant Mortality Rate (per 1000): 29 deaths
Life Expectancy: 70 years
Currency: Peru Nuevos Soles
Exchange Rate: 2.8610 PEN = 1 USD

Why, you ask?
My server is going to start routinely reading the partner pages and pulling data out that is not in the API. To start, I'm going to have it grab both Portfolio Yield (for display) and Profitability (for display and search). If I pulled the Average Loan size % of per capita income, I could let users sort loans by which % of their annual income. If some users want to find loans that get journal updates, I could pull that data and allow searches on it... but, I only want to have it grab data that people actually want to see or search on... so I need your input. What is important to you?
