Hi. I had some problems with kivalens.org

Recently updated Silverlight (Silverlight 5 (5.0.61118.0)) and Firefox (8.0.1) on MAC (Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)) and cleared cookies, cache etc.

Now when using Kivalens the Lender Analysis works fine, but the Live Filtering doesn't seem to work at all under Firefox: I get a spinning color wheel but no results.
Everything always works OK on Safari (Version 5.1.2 (6534.52.7)) running on the same machine, so no great shakes, I can just switch browsers.

Silverlight test page www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight runs OK under Firefox.
Tried reinstalling Silverlight and checking to see if the app cache was deleted, but no joy.
Kiva Lens 1.2 top menu bar and the 3 buttons appears in Firefox, but the "Loading fundraising loans" globe doesn't appear like it does on Safari.
As I said, the Lender Analysis button works, About button works, but live filtering button doesn't.

EDIT: The problem seems directly related to the "always use private browsing mode" button on the Firefox Preferences, "Privacy" panel.
If you enable the private browsing check box, the live filtering hangs. Disable it and it works. Hope that helps out someone.

I found it to be fairly well behaved - as well behaved as silverlight can be on a Mac - under Chrome.

If you choose to upgrade to Lion (10.7) you might see a few more Silverlight bumps - I haven't had the opportunity to place a profiler on it yet, but I am suspecting it may be leaking/growing more so than before.   

Perhaps Paul(?) will move to a less proprietary implementation in the future ... or, now that he's employed at Kiva, the functionality might find its way into Kiva.org.

Super-graphs is working again today. So we now have super, kivalens and kivafolio (all working for us), but unfortunately they don't all always tell the same story!
