Hi Fagrell!  Wave

Kivapedia probably isn't the best place to get the word out in Swedish.  It doesn't have much participation and it's always out of date.

You might want to consider two alternatives.  I imagine the Kiva Lending Team: Sweden would be a good place to start.  You're also welcome to start a Sweden topic at the Team Lending Kiva Friends discussion board.

Thank you for a promt and friendly answer to my question.

The problem is - as I see it -that the persons who are members of the Sweden team (I am) are already involved and have solved the language-issue (if any) by themselves.

There are about 6 million adults remaining.. and my goal is of course to get the word out to them.

Wikipedia is well known in Sweden and often used as a reference in discussions online.

Perhaps if the kivapedia isn´t the solution.. a small introduction and a faq in various languages could help?

The Sweden team.. has a lot of talented members as many of the other countiries and I´m sure it would be a joy for us lenders to get a bit more involved.

Yours....

and Hugs of course  Embarrassed  Ami

Ami,

If you still think some Swedish pages on Kivapedia would be helpful, go ahead and do it.   Yes

If you're mainly looking for a general first encounter reference, it seems like translating the English Wikipedia article on Kiva to the Swedish version might get a wider readership...

I am far from a "pedia" expert.  I signed up and now have a Kivapedia account.  However, the page I wanted to add a minor edit to has a lock on it???

I want to add "The American Ethical Union" to this page:

Help anyone?

In trying to find the MFI that I noticed is posting again with a cautionary note from Kiva, I looked through the Kivapedia site and it seems quite a few MFIs are missing.  I am wondering how often this is updated.  Since this is probably a major undertaking as I will fully admit that my computer skills are limited and am always in awe of the "tech wizards".

The one in particular in my search is Adephca:  http://www.kiva.org/partners/76

There are also quite a few new MFIs not listed.

I would also like to get a link to a topic on MFIs who do more, such as lower interest rates, loans to remote areas, extra programs to entrepreneurs. Is there such a topic  or do I need to create one?  I have been been more selective of loans, and like many waiting for some policy changes within Kiva.  This is actually the first month I have had credits left over.

I used to do much of the editing on Kivapedia, but I stopped quite some time ago.  When Kivapedia started, those were manual edits about information that might not have been as flexible to view on Kiva's website.  Kiva has since introduced the API for much of its data.  Personally, I now use the automatically updated Field Partner data on Ian's Spreadsheets and Paul's Kiva Bank.  Why fight progress?!
