Julia has been kidnapped by a presidential campaign that is working her to the point where she doesn't have much free time for us or Second Life. And she's probably sleep deprived as well! But she likes her captors and is having some fun, so it's probably not all that bad. You can see some of what she's doing here:

I see she's giving out Kiva gift certificates as a door prizes, so she hasn't forgotten about us. She'll see freedom in a couple weeks after the California Primary on February 5th. Hopefully!

As for Second Life, they finally got that new land and will be extending the Nonprofit Commons soon. We have an option to move to the new place or stay where we are. I'm thinking we'll probably stay where we are, but move a little closer to the front of the NPC. Our office is nice, but it's kind of out back and around the corner. Naturally, we'd like to have Kiva front and center! Especially considering we're getting a lot visitors from our virtual office being one of the most promoted and active.

I'm not sure if i've missed something but i tried to find info about the referrals in here. Is it so that KIVA as my referral gets L$2000 Linden Dollars? In that case i need a referral then... right?

The referral program was changed so that the referred friend must upgrade their account to a Premium account in order for the referrer to receive the Linden Dollars:
Quote
Refer your friends to Second Life! You will receive L$2000 Linden Dollars whenever anyone you refer upgrades to premium.

Since there is no "Kiva avatar" per se, there is no "Kiva account" and no way (and so far as I know, no need or desire) to upgrade that non-account to a Premium (land-owning, monthly-paying) account, so go right ahead and join and don't worry about the referral!  (All the Kiva offices so far have been built on borrowed land or land that was granted to non-profit groups.)
