Considering all the group lenders out there, it would be nice to coordinate a support network among Kiva, Kiva Friends and Kivapedia.
  • Kiva could implement some group coding/searching features for its lender pages, and add a note on its Connect with Others page (I looked it up at the Kivapedia site map page!  Tongue).
  • Kiva Friends could add a board(s) for like-minded groups to share ideas and hear from supporters.
  • Kivapedia could maintain the list noted above and host specific group and/or topical wiki pages.

How's that for synnergy?!  Cheesy

Nice idea. I told Joe about two weeks ago that I was thinking about setting up an organization oriented forums, services and a domain in the near future as I find the time and make resources available. As you may know, I already set up the VoIp service. But sadly enough no one has used it as far as I know since I dont have the time to really spend on it. For what it is worth I paid for 30 users for one year will unlimited bandwidth at CD quality sound. Hopefully some people will use it in the future. I was thinking it would be neat for some teachers to use for their students to talk to other students about their class projects and small for lenders to be able to chat with other lenders and maybe MFIs without major phone bills.

Anyway, if you guys want to do that kind of stuff here then I  will not proceed any further. I think it should all be under one roof to begin with. More importantly I dont have the time necessary to do things properly at the moment and I would not want to taint the water for something as important as supporting organizations within this community.
