It's taking much longer time than others I have for South Pacific Business Development to get the funds to the client.  Somoa Clients, must have gone by boat! Grin

AccountAbility I agree with your statement: I think it would be a bad thing for Kiva to give any official sanction to a group.   The only GROUP that appears KIVA sponsors is GUMBALL CAPITAL.  It's the only one I've seen a direct link to that appears to be created by KIVA. That's assuming KIVA is responsible for headers and the like on this forum. But as a newbie to forums, I would interpret that as a KIVA indorsement.

I doubt if Gumball Capital is endorsed by Kiva.  Technically this forum is probably considered independent of Kiva, although in the murky world of the internet, links have some small level of endorsement.  I guess we can't expect disclaimers plastered around every link on the internet.

No, Kiva Friends is NOT affiliated with Kiva!  Shocked  It's just a discussion forum set up and frequented by friends of Kiva.  Cheesy

Question for some of you in the know....what's up with this field partner???

Samoa > South Pacific Business Development

stats say they fund loans in 2.13 days...  I've had people waiting to be funded since I started on KIVA.

That is what Fund Loan is isn't it...from the time it's filled with by you and me to the time it's to the client?

HEY! Saleuleu wants her coconuts!!!   Kiss  http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=8958

It's not just her, I think i have 5 waiting to be funded for well over hmmmm...15 days.

I think "funded" means when it is fully subscribed by lenders.  The loans are often disbursed later than that.  I've had a few that went weeks before being disbursed.

That's my understanding also, the "funding" time means how long it takes their listings, on average, to be fully funded by lenders.

When I first started (a whole big long month ago, LOL!), I read that Kiva.org disburses funds at the start of each new month, after which the MFIs disburse the money to their clients, so I figured most of my loans wouldn't get to their recipients until early July. But some of the MFIs (Prisma has been mentioned specifically in this regard) have local funding that they provide to clients as soon as they know the Kiva.org loan has been fully funded, which is why some loans become Active almost immediately after getting into Raised status.

If it's been more than a full month, I'd start wondering, but 15 days? Not yet.

Believe it or not, Julia, I OF ALL PEOPLE am sitting in front of 3 computers, though only one is active.  I graduated to a new one recently at my son-in-law's insistence, and still haven't given away the oldest.... not to mention our original Apple II which is stuffed in a closet. Cheesy
