I'm offering KIVAsurance - never worry about a loan going in default again!!!!

For a $25.00 premium paid to me your loan will be covered for the complete term of the loan in the event the loan goes into default (for any reason) I will pay you the difference.

This will cover any single KIVA loan funding of $25.00

So eating cheese made from milk from some random cow is fine, though?  I wonder why that is?

Goat or sheep is good, too. Yum!

No growth hormones in Canadian milk or cheese.

I was interested in getting some raw organic milk from a friend I know that raises cows.  I was amazed to learn it's basically illegal.  The loophole is that if you own a "share" of the cow then the you are allowed to use a "share" of the milk any way you like.  I wish organic grass fed beef products would be available without having to jump through so many hoops.

We may not have growth hormones, but raw milk is illegal in Canada. There is a one-man campaign being waged in Ontario on the issue. The individual, a dairy farmer, was acquitted in January of charges. I undertsand an appeal is going forward. He says here that he has received death threats.

Raw milk cheese, on the other hand, is extremely popular in Quebec, as I understand it is in France also.

I figured out how to get rid of all those annoying expired, refunded and delinquent loans from the first page of your lender page!

All you have to do is make 24 new loans. In order to avoid them getting funded right away and having to replace them with another 24 new loans, you could sort by popularity and then scroll down to the end of the list and lend to the 24 least popular loans. Easy!

Just don't lend to loans that are too close to expiry or the LLL team will mess up your lender page.  Laugh

It is also in Germany. And though I am a big fan of free choices and personally also a fan of these products (at least the cheese part) I am also a food chemist by education. And therefore I would like to make you aware that these kinds of products (raw milk and cheese) do not come without risk. As long as you are healthy the risk if okay to take, but young children, elderly or sick people and pregnant woman should better avoid them. We had just recently a case in Austria and Germany where at least 6 people from one of those high risk groups have died from having eaten the same raw milk cheese product infected by listeria. If the products are treated right by the producer as well as at your home, something like this should of course not happen. But if you are part of the high risk group I would recommend to stick with the well heated products for your own safety.
