Kiva Microfunds is among the 100 charities/non-profits to receive $25,000 from Chase Community Giving. Here's the next step: In Round Two, the 100 organizations from Round One will have the option to submit a Million Dollar Grant proposal to Facebook users, detailing the difference they would make in their local community with the significant extra resources. Facebook users will vote starting January 15, and on or around February 1, one organization will receive $1 million from Chase, provided all eligibility requirements and standards have been met and reviewed by the Chase Community Giving Advisory Board. Five additional organizations will receive $100,000 each. Also, the Advisory Board will select additional nominated charities from either round to share in another $1 million.
Best wishes, Wolfgang.

Kiva is overqualified for Chase's award. They have more than $1,000,000 in revenue per year. However, Poverty 2 Prosperity makes loans on Kiva.org, and we are qualified for the financial requirements! Please consider using one of your votes on Poverty 2 Prosperity. http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/search Type in Poverty 2 and we should pop up as one of the top choices! I am currently making the loans on the Poverty 2 Prosperity accounts, and I promise to continue making a fair share of LLL loans. As well as those men with cows and longer term loans! The lowest amount awarded is $25k, and there are a LOT of those. That would really help move some loans and help a lot of people move forward! Besides this is FREE! Please vote and ask your friends as well. Colette

I voted for Poverty 2 Prosperity. Wouldn't it be great if P2P got cash to provide loans on Kiva.org. Helped my buddies out for Mayan project and the Fistula.
