I am not in the SF area but wanted to pass this on for those of you who are, and maybe some of you will be able to participate.

Here at Kiva, we aim to engage our supportive community in the developments of our site and the growth our organization. Since you have helped us out in the past, you are aware that lender feedback is integral to the implementation and success of our programs.

This Friday and Monday, we are conducting a usability test at our headquarters in San Francisco and need participants to give feedback on some mockups of a new “Make a Loan” page.

If you are available on either Friday, November 20 or Monday, November 23, please email me (Samantha@kiva.org) to participate. Once I have received your confirmation, I will respond with details.

 Thank you for your interest.

 Be in touch,

 Samantha Given-Dennis

Hi Charmaine,

I hadn't noticed this before, thanks for sharing with us all.  Thumbs Up

Unfortunately I'm also not located in the SF area, however I've sent Samantha an email to let her know I am happy to review and test any new features and website pages if needed.

Hopefully they get enough people, I wonder what this need page will look like  Undecided

I too responded to her email offering to help,  but pointing out that I was several states away so would not be available physically in San Francisco.

Perhaps Samantha will figure out a way to filter lenders by location for her next appeal, or (of more value) be able to beta test remotely with a cross section of lenders.

And yet I, who DO live in the SF Bay Area and have expressed interest and willingness to help with beta tests in the past, did not receive that email.  A little list-scrubbing may be in order...  (And I agree that a network of remote beta testers would be valuable.)

OK, I'm the biggest (if "biggest" equates to "most annoying"!) stickler around, and you have me intrigued as to which word was originally missing.

I'm going to stare at your post all day now, wondering what it originally said! Laugh

A stickler, me? No way, just a hunter of missing words:

I just transferred some funds from one account to another with a GC. When I cashed the GC I got this message:

Your gift certificate of $75.00 been redeemed.

I no English. I read difficult English. But I happy know, my gift certificate been redeemed.

Robert

And by the way: Yes, I got also an invitation to walk swim to Kiva HQ.
