Greeting Kiva Friends (Updated!):

I have just joined the Kiva Friends network and will be updating you all periodically on my up and coming adventure!  In short, I am embarking on a walk across America to BOOST Kiva awareness/membership across our great country starting on March 1st of 2010 (from Lewes, Delaware to San Francisco, CA).  I will be leaving from Lewes, Delaware and ending in San Francisco, CA March 1st of 2010.  Much of my route will take place on the American Discovery Trail - for more route information visit: http://www.kivawalk.com/?page_id=92 

Kiva Walk 2010 is not affiliated directly with Kiva.org; however, I recently visited Kiva staff in San Francisco to establish relationship and credibility all while soaking up their excitement and support! 

Please join me along the way and/or let me know if/when I will be coming through your area.  I would love any feedback, advice, and guidance on how I can maximize this trip! (my direct email is below)

Advice--buy several Kiva t-shirts and a sweatshirt so you are a walking billboard!

Put up itinerary on KF site so we can join you.  Offer to do speeches where you go.

Great!

Kiva is working on sending me some shirts - and I am planning to have a large piece of cardboard with "Kiva Walk" attached to my backpack at ALL times!

As for presentations - absolutely! - I will practice here in Denver at a few classrooms/businesses and go from there.  My trip is wide open at this stage, so I hope to have opportunities to share in every town/city I come across.
