would it be possible to have member use fields on each of our loans? 

That way we could post comments on our own loans such as: 

"Jennie's Pick"   on a loan that my daughter picked   or "Mary B's" on a loan for my aunt B who won't get within 10 feet of a computer.

I'm sure there might be other uses for different members....maybe...where the funds for this loan came from?  or for Groups it might even have a value.

This reminds me of a "trick" some Prosper.com lenders use for their bids.  They bid different amounts of dollars and/or cents to code some aspect of the bid.  The code might mean different criteria or reasons for the bid.  Of course, having a member use field would be more convenient, but there's nothing to stop anyone from using the amounts they offer on Kiva loans to have some additional meaning to them as well.
