Ramon,

Yes, my account FINALLY got credit.  It was June 29 that the loan was paid off, and I got a message saying a payment was made (not that it was paid in full, but the generic message).  Finally, on July 3, I got the credit.  Takes me back to the good ol' days when banks held all checks for 5-10 business days.

I have already loaned the money out again.  I wanted to go to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, central America (none there), Cambodia or somewhere else southeast Asia.  But I couldn't resist helping someone sell used clothing.  Did you know that much of the clothing WE donate ends up overseas?  I couldn't resist the recycling aspects of it.  Pretty sad that one of our exports is used stuff that we pass by at garage sales.  I wish that the loan terms did not indicate 2 years on so many of the loans...I might have loaned to the widow who grows bonzai plants in Viet Nam.  Head said recycle; heart said bonzai is cool, and the widow probably has a hard go of it with four kids.

Now I am even more impressed by Prisma which takes a loan and it walks out the door within hours.  Beats Kiva hands down.  I guess Kiva might have to confirm payment (some payments have been reversed), but there could be a reloan with less confirmation--lock out the option to receive conversion to PayPal for longer time.  I am going to be busy for a couple days/weeks, so I am glad to have gotten this loan started.
