This is a variation of the Six degrees of separationSmall world experiment  → Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game.

Here's how to play.

* Use links to Kiva Friends Lender and Entrepreneur pages.
* Start with the Kiva Friends Lender from the last "step" or "link" in the previous post's chain in the web.
* End the chain with a different Kiva Friends Lender.
* Put as many "Kiva Enrepreneur to Kiva Friends Lender" links in between as you want.
* "Backing up" (linking back to the same Entrepreneur & Lender from the previous post) should be used only if you hit a "dead end."
* Returning to previously used Lenders and Entrepreneurs helps strengthen the chain by creating the World Wide Web of Friends!  Cheesy

A piece of the chain/web might look like this.
<KF Lender 1> to <Entrepreneur 1> to <KF Lender 2> to <Entrepreneur 2> to <KF Lender 3>

Here's the start...

Randi & Richard to Ayaz Memmedov to Kevin to Gaby Quinto to Glenda

Okay, the next step/link in the chain starts with Glenda. Is that going to be easy or what?!  Grin

Glenda to Abla Akla http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=5640 to AGullen http://www.kiva.org/lender/adam7786 to Nicola Yordanov http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=12050to Kevin http://www.kiva.org/lender/kevin2915...... OK, all you techies -- Tell me how you got those names to be clickable so I don't ruin the chain (or, alternatively, just fix it)  Tongue  I GIVE UP - SOMEBODY PLEASE FIX THIS! (and, if you want this to continue smoothly, don't link to this old lady again. Wink

Okay, you techi-wannabe!  Thanks to Christopher, here's the "fancy" way to do it.  Just replace the "http://" part with the web address you see in your browser (copy-and-paste it in), then replace the "Kiva website" part with whatever you want the rest of us to see.  Cool

Or... just copy-and-past the links from lender/entrepreneur pages and we'll figure it out.  Wink

Also, here's the link for Kevin.

p.s. Even with your anti-techie persona, I knew you couldn't resist playing!  Tongue

Huh? So as not to break the chain in this game, I've included the URLs in my original post above.  I just haven't had a minute in the past few days to try to do it the correct way.  I'm living in the wrong century!  Embarrassed

I just stumbled across this topic and had never seen it before...thought I'd restart it:

Oli to Plamen, our 25,000th borrower to Natasha, who ruins my accent to Ludmila, Diane's 1,000th borrower to Peter, the Englishman to Maurisol Batista Luna to Stacy

The new chain starts with Stacy!  Smiley Wanna try?

LOL I just opened this thread and found myself at the end of a chain! I'll have to play along...

From Stacy to José Alfredo Cantero Maldonado, who repaid my first loan, to Festival, recently nominated Kiva addict, to Miguel Roberto González Tovar (in case someone needs to rent a tux) to The Buchanan Family.

Not as long as Oli's but still good I think!  Cheesy

Maybe the last one to post should send a PM to the person they named with a link to the thread and a message:  "Tag, you're it."  It would keep the "game" going.  Also, not repeating a part of any previous chain would make it more challenging.  Thanks for getting the ball rolling Oli !! Jane

Hey Jane ooops, Stacy!, well done, I'm glad you spotted it! Had thought about sending a pm, but you were quicker...

Good ideas, mejane. I also like the challenger part where no part of a previous chain may be repeated.Might get hard after a while, though! Remember, you're not allowed to search randomly!  Smiley

Hmmmmmmmmm, since The Buchanan Family obviously has not found this thread, I thought I'd just go ahead and start another round (you can tell I don't know what to do with my time, right?):

From The Buchanan Family to Felix Kyere to Small Potatoes to Felix Alexander Guerrero Jarquin to Margaret to Hilario (what a name!) to Don and Margie to Ni Wayan Wenji with her racing bulls to Laurie to Octaviana Gamarra De Jacaca to Randi and Richard (who started this game) to Gozi Shodmonov to STEVE!!!

Pooh, and WOW, all in one go...did not have to hit the Return button once!

So, Steve, will ya take it up?  Smiley

Yikes - I missed out!  That's what happens when I fall behind in reading Kiva Friends...

Tonight I was especially busy trying to catch up on the almost 300 new loans posted!!!  Definitely a first for me.
