Thanks Q!  Remember if you buy within 45 days of signing up KIVALoans will get a $5.00 bonus!! Be thinking about how we (The IGive peoples) can have fun picking the loan or tracking it or anything to make this free KIVA money be more fun.

so far, normal shopping for me...well, the contacts I bought more than usual for a larger discount I've raised $27.84 (I didn't get a bonus for my 1st purchase - dang, they knew me)  We've got one KIVA loan to make!!  Will wait till all these purchase post at Igive.com/KIVALoans.

Wanted to tell anyone interested I gave the "restaurant.com" gift certificate to my friend yesterday, we all went to eat at Sekisui Pacific Rim (Japanese) last night, had a great dinner totalled $88.00 we used his $25.00 gift certificate I gave him and there was no problem using it at all.  That certificate ended up costing me $9.00 so we saved $16 off the dinner (paid the tip I guess) and KIVALoans received $0.90 out of it.  All around a good deal.  My only recomendation is if you consider using restaurant.com through www.IGIVE.COM/KIVALoans read the 'coupon' information really well, I almost purchased one for Brickworks here and after reading the coupon it was for catering services only.

I use restaurant.com all the time -- once you've bought from them, you'll get occasional end-of-month 60%-off codes, which end up giving you a $25 restaurant certificate for about $4, the only catch being that the most popular ones are sold out by the end of the month. Still, when I find a place I like, I stock up, and have given some for gifts also (and they're good to send to the sons in college: I get some for restaurants in the area of their colleges, and they can take friends to dinner, something other than cafeteria food for a change!)  Nice to know they're available through iGive (I signed up this afternoon).

OK reassurance, please? Today I went to the iGive.com website (and also had the automatic shopping window installed) and used my credit card for reservations at a hotel in early August, but I don't see any indication that this went through. Is it because I haven't actually stayed in the hotel yet, so it hasn't been charged and hence won't contribute? Is there any way to see your pending contributions? I'll just have to go buy something else online in the next week or so, so the $5 bonus goes through. Wink

thanks!

I was checking and reading IGive's website when I was wondering if I ( a long time igive user ) would get another $5.00 for creating the new profile.  I'm not sure how to answer your question in regards to a hotel booking, but I did read that IGive won't research anything until 30 days have passed, they ask for 30 days for the company you purchased from to get the info posted.  A little larger than 1/2 of my recent purchases haven't posted yet.

I do have a contact I've been chatting with regarding my account and I will ask the rules regarding a hotel booking that is for later than the 45 day period.

It will work out, most important thing is to make sure your comfortable regarding your hotel stay and trip.  For a few extra dollars here it would break my heart if your stay wasn't as wonderful as it should be!!!!! Smiley  From the KIVALoans Igive group - Thanks for the purchase!

the final answer to your question is yes, when you go to your IGIVE page, you should see a link under "My Stats" and then click shopping and when they are posted to KIVALoans they will also show on your stat page.

OK thanks. I just made a Lands' End purchase online through the iGive.com site, but I don't see anything reflected about that one either. I'll wait a couple days and see whether it shows up or not.

It must take a while for the donation to appear as I have also made some purchases and they are not reflected as yet.  I guess we just have to keep track of what we buy and make sure the donation eventually shows up.
