Lend for Peace (LendforPeace.org) - Is there a problem?

I was very pleased to discover LendforPeace.org last year. I finally made a small loan in January 2010. But visiting the LendforPeace website and the social networking pages (Facebook, Twitter, LendforPeace blog) reveal very little update activity.

I am concerned about this. It is as if no one is home. I prepared a short screen recording that compares LendforPeace websites with Kiva and DonorsChoose. In brief, (if you don't want to watch the video) I point out that the Kiva and DonorsChoose web pages have updates daily or every other day, while LendforPeace hasn't done anything since December 2009!

I wonder if, now that the students who founded LendforPeace have graduated from Penn and moved into CitiCorp-Wall Street types of jobs, they have other priorities and LendforPeace is defunct.

Thanks for your concern and for checking in on LendforPeace.org.  While it is true that we haven't pushed a lot of new content to the home page or taken as much advantage of Twitter/Facebook as we could have, LendforPeace.org is very much still a living organization. 

That said, we hear your feedback that we could be doing more to provide updates and a fresh experience for our existing lenders.  We've been focusing more on outreach to new lenders since we thought this would bring the most capital onto the platform but perhaps we should refocus more on folks like you who are loyal members of the community.  I'll share these thoughts with the team.

Thanks again for your interest.  We are a volunteer organization so if you are interested in getting involved to help make the changes you'd like to see, we'd love your help.

I received repayments on 6 of my Lend for Peace loans today.
Five loans were fully repaid ($25 each) & one loan made a repayment of $12.06.

Also received repayment on my first Lend for Peace loan today ( http://www.lendforpeace.org/ ). I got this reply to a recent inquiry:

Hi Laurie,

... Our first reconciliation cycle with our partner microfinance institution, Asala (the organization that interfaces directly with borrowers), has taken longer than expected; there have been some loans on which we've been slow to receive information and this account is one of them. I am happy to tell you, however, that we received word this week that despite being late, your loan has been repaid in full.  We are processing repayments at the moment. You should see a repayment reflected in your account shortly, certainly before the end of next week.

Thank you again for your contribution and for your patience.  As a young organization that is still working through our growing pains, we appreciate your support very much.  We hope that you will consider using the proceeds of your loan to fund another entrepreneur.

I also got a repayment then , but none afterwards.

Still no repayments from Lendforpeace. No information on the loan what is happening.
I have written to lendforpeace some weeks ago, april 12, but havent received any reply.

My 25$ should have been repaid now. $ 12 was repaid a year ago,
it turns out i am also unable to withdraw any amount under $ 20 !
