She is from Ecuador, and lives with her husband and one of their sons.  At 63 years old, she loves to be active.  She tells us that she loves big families, and therefore had 8 children.  At present, almost all are married and have families of their own.

She has a store in her house that sells staples like rice, glue, sugar etc. She also sells coconut cookies that she has been preparing for a long time. She manages the store alone while her husband travels around the city selling bags of cookies, working only in the mornings. In winter, the whole coast is hit hard by the rains and the mud makes it difficult to travel. With this loan, she will increase her inventory by buying rice, sugar, flour, glue etc. In future she would like to reopen her bakery and fix up her home a little.

She is in her early 30's, married, and is raising 2 children. This year, having noticed the lack of local suppliers, she launched her own business selling automotive parts. Thanks to her hard work, she makes a monthly profit now. In order to continue developing her business, she has turned to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan, to expand the range of her products. She plans to invest her profits from this loan into further expansion of her business.
