I'm trying to unsubscribe from the daily emails that take me to Kiva Friends blogs.  There very interesting and I anxious to learn about microlending process, but my Inbox is too full already.  The link at the bottom of the Kiva Friends emails that says One Click Unsubscribe does not work.  Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Hi Rebecca, and Welcome!

In case the question has to do with Kiva e-mails.

You can reduce the number of emails you receive from Kiva from the My Account pages:

1) Log in to Kiva
2) Click on “My Account” on the left side of the screen, then “Email Preferences” toward the top of the page.
3) Select your preferences in the drop-down boxes.
4) Click the “Save Email Preferences” button.

You can change these settings at any time.

Do you perhaps mean the Kiva "Fellows" blog?  I don't know of any emails generated from Kiva Friends-- other than personal private messages from time to time.

And welcome to Kiva Friends.  Your question in any event will be answered here by all these experts in everything Kiva.

EDIT: Even as I was writing, Alan stepped up to the plate and provided an answer.

Sandra could be referring to the e-mail notifications whenever a new reply is added to a Kiva Friends discussion thread.  If the unsubscribe link in the e-mail is not working, you can go to that discussion thread and click "Notify Me" in the green tab on the top right-hand side.  If you are subscribed to the thread, clicking "Notify Me" should return a dialog box asking if you want to stop receiving notifications.  When you click "OK", the e-mails should stop.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ronan

Learn something new every day.  Thanks for that information.

you can go to that discussion thread and click "Notify Me" in the green tab on the top right-hand side.

A more centralized location to see and modify all your notifications is found by clicking the MY PROFILE tab on a KF page. Then locate the Modify section of the sidebar and click on the Notifications and Email link found there. You will be taken to a page where you can see all of your current KF notifications and, if you choose, unsubscribe from any or all of them.
