Join Intuit's Lending Team and Support Kiva!

As an extension of Intuit’s current Love a Local Business program, for every person who joins the Intuit Kiva Lending Team and makes a Kiva loan within 30 days, Intuit will donate $10 to Kiva.org, up to $50,000. This contribution will be used to strengthen the Kiva micro-lending platform and leverage an estimated $500,000 more in small business loans from Kiva’s Internet community.
To ensure that your loan qualifies for the $10 Intuit donation to Kiva,
1) Join Intuit's Lending Team by clicking here.
2) Make a loan within 30 days of joining and be sure to count it towards the Intuit Lending Team's totals.
3) Also, please note that you can make multiple loans within the 30-day period and each loan will be matched with a $10 donation to Kiva.

Intuit's matching program will run through the end of May 2010, so make your loan today!

When I first went to the team last night there were only 203 members...

already it is up 30 to 233...

This will be fun to spread and watch the support grow

Hmmm....

A lovely and worthy initiative. Too bad the news didn't come out about 2 days earlier. If I had known before I started my relending spree I could have made a bit of a dent in those 5000 loans they're looking for. Now I only have a few credits left....

I guess I'll have to wait to join and then blitz it in April.

I would love to join but haven´t got enough credits to loan yet (yeah I got credits from my loans  ).  As soon as I have enough I will join this wonderful group.

Isn't it fun seeing those credits come back in?   

And you don't need credits to join any teams, you can add your name any time...

then next time you lend, just scroll down to Intuit and assign the loan to them and they will donate $10 to Kiva.  I will be assigning all of mine to Intuit until such time as the offer closes.

That means Team Tia and People with Livestock and the Single Parents teams etc. won't get credit for any of my loans for a while, but I think that's worth putting $10 in Kiva's pocket for each one

so keep smiling...

I'm confused. The blog says $10 for every $25 lent, the team page says $10,000 for every 1,000 people who join and lend at least $25. Which is it?

Incidentally, when I clicked on the Love a Local Business link I was immediately confronted with a local business offering erotic massages!

Really pleased you have found a fab way to loan which also adds lot more money to a group that needs it.  Great! Shame I won´t be seeing you on Team Tia and on your other teams aswell, for a little while.  We will miss you as you are fab!  No worries as we will see you back here soon though.  I am going to join the group when I have enough credits to make a loan.  I don´t want to join before as I want to be sure I can make a loan before 30 days are over.

hmm... I suppose that's the danger with this type of link... no massages offered here in Calgary, but there were 5 other businesses recommended by somebody or other...

but as to the lending and donation credits...
now I'm confused too

so I just sent a message on the team messages... we'll see who writes back.

I've been lending and assigning to the Intuit team...
There have been team messages asking questions about the rules and no answers seem forthcoming...
I don't even know where to look to see if Intuit is matching or loaning or some kind of progress report...

Has anyone seen any up to date news on this???
