I really liked your quote, Patricia. Mush is good.
It brought to mind a song with one of the most lovely, sort of haunting melodies, that came from a 1970 movie version of
Wuthering Heights , probably before most of our Kiva Friends were even born. I loved it from the first I heard it.
Michel LeGrand "
I was Born in Love with You " from Wuthering Heights
I was born in love with you Opened my eyes in love with you From another time, from another place From another world, I remember your face I walk to find the way to you Learned how to speak to say to you Stay with me now through the mists of forever I was born in love with you First saw the sun in love with you My eyes knew your smile My hand knew your hand My arms knew the warmth of you I knew the touch of your lips and the taste of your kiss Before I came to I will die in love with you I’ll close my eyes in love with you Stay with me now through the mists of forever I’ll be born in love with you…..

Wow! I love this!
And I love this so much that I am
clapping loudly and enthusiastically with one hand!* Hey, can you folks hear my clapping from San Francisco?
* One widely known kōan is "Two hands clap and there is a sound; what is the sound of one hand?"

"Our daughters can contribute just as much to society as our sons, and our common prosperity will be advanced by allowing all humanity - men and women - to reach their full potential. I do not believe that women must make the same choices as men in order to be equal, and I respect those women who choose to live their lives in traditional roles. But it should be their choice. That is why the United States will partner with any Muslim-majority country to support expanded literacy for girls, and to help young women pursue employment through micro-financing that helps people live their dreams." - President Barack Obama, June 4, 2009

Grameen America has been posting a daily quote on Facebook...
this was yesterday..
Muhammad Yunus Quote of the day: "If you lend to the poor, do it without concern for profit. (...) Microcredit was created to protect the people from moneylenders, not to create more moneylenders".
I loved it.

Some quotes from quantum physicists ."[T]he atoms or elementary particles themselves are not real; they form a world of potentialities or possibilities rather than one of things or facts." Werner Heisenberg "Anyone not shocked by quantum mechanics has not yet understood it." Niels Bohr"Observations not only disturb what is to be measured, they produce it." Pascual Jordan "When the province of physical theory was extended to encompass microscopic phenomena through the creation of quantum mechanics, the concept of consciousness came to the fore again. It was not possible to formulate the laws of quantum mechanics in a fully consistent way without reference to the consciousness." Eugene Wigner"The doctrine that the world is made up of objects whose existence is independent of human consciousness turns out to be in conflict with quantum mechanics and with facts established by experiment." Bernard d'Espagnat "In the beginning there were only probabilities. The universe could only come into existence if someone observed it. It does not matter that the observers turned up several billion years later. The universe exists because we are aware of it." Martin Rees“It is often stated that of all the theories proposed in this century, the silliest is quantum theory. In fact, some say that the only thing that quantum theory has going for it is that it is unquestionably correct.” Michio Kaku
