Mariam is a married woman with two children, both of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.

She operates a kerosene selling business, selling from door to door and from home to be used as fuel for lamps, as well as for heating and cooking. Mariam faces the challenge of an inadequate supply of kerosene in the area. She hopes to expand in the future.

With the 20,000 KES she wants to purchase twenty liters of kerosene and building materials. She decided to join Yehu because it provides sustainable financial services to small scale entrepreneurs.

Hi, I just happened across this today.  I have a great Kiva baby picture, from a loan I made just because I loved the photo so much.  But I don't know how you-all are downloading the Kiva photos to post them here.  If someone wants to let me know how, I would like to participate.  Thx,
Amy
