I guess I understand why people make this gesture in pictures, but your Kiva lender picture??? Why?  Maybe as the subject title says, this is too risky, but not because it would be a favorite of mine.

Holy cow. I never saw these forum posts until today.

heh.. the original profile picture was the only image of me that was on my desktop, so I used it when creating the profile.

The sign is in English, but this lending team says they are in Munich.  (Only four team members, including "Thiemo," but they do have several loans that are still raising funds, so I guess someone on the team is pretty active on Kiva.)  Does anyone know where a town or city called "The Future" is?  The photo sure caught my eye on the site.

No such place  (yet...)

I think it's a stock image created in Photoshop or similar, putting it through tineye.com (a cool reverse image search place) I see it's been used with other destinations apart from the future, such as this one for example:

I thought it might have come from http://www.says-it.com/ but I guess not.

You can make a lot of custom graphics at this site such as church signs, danger signs, Uncle Sam posters, delivery trucks, gas station and fast food signs, badges, soda cans, all with whatever text you like on them.  It's a lot of fun.  Maybe there is a site like this somewhere that has highway signs too?
