Hi, John.

Re FPs in the USA, there was something a while ago (from Matt, I think) of a possible partnership with a Native American group in NM. That would be fun if it's still under consideration.

Ok the second update is up!  Here's the latest on TYM...  it took me a little while to figure out how to update the partner pages, but now I've got the process down:
http://www.kiva.org/partners/67

Someone mentioned that there were older updates on the TYM page that were taken down... was this update that Judy mentioned the only time that happened?
http://www.kivafriends.org/index.php/topic,321.msg78234.html#msg78234

Let me know and if so, I can restore it.  If there were earlier updates on the TYM page, please let me know if anyone has details on it so I can track it down as well.  Thanks!

Just one tip to keep all us KFers happy - can you include a date with each update on the Partner pages so people know how up-to-date the info is.  (i.e. add a "June 3, 2010" at the start of your update text.)

Also, since I spend most of my free time at Kiva Bank, I don't know the answer to this.

What's the status of implementing a one-stop Field Partnersssss Status Updates page?  Undecided

Hey Ian - sorry about that, that was a rookie mistake. :-)  There was a date field that I had filled in, but apparently that doesn't add a date... it does something else.  I added the date manually just now, and it should appear later tonight.

RichardF - I'm looking into upgrading the Partner Pages to be more along the lines of what you described.  First though, I want to get the information on the current system completely up to date!  Then, I'll work on a Partner Pages update page. :-)

Thanks for the update on TYM, John.  They were one of my favorite field partners and I had been very curious about them.  I really feel you're out there working for us lenders; it feels good.  Thanks.   Clapping Flowers Friends

John,

Can you find out what is happening with Aqroinvest Credit Union please.  Nothing netted-off on May 15 (which implies nothing fundraised during previous month - even though there was!?!?!) and nothing paid by June 1, and that leaves them with 792 (out of 858) loans delinquent.

Thanks,
  Ian

Just a note that I'm happy to look into specific MFIs, and get partner pages updated to reflect any questions you may have.

Hi John,

Could you provide an update on Fundación AgroCapital, Bolivia? Their delinquency rate for June is 41.85%. In many of their loans the entrepreneur seems to have made the payments to the field partner, but the payment has not reached Kiva.

Many thanks.

((d) Where is Kiva actively looking for new field partners?  Interest was raised in the forum for Bangladesh, Laos, Bhutan, Burma, and Tibet.

DISCUSSION:
  • Tibet: There are entry issues here similar to getting established in China, but this has been in the works for a long time and is a possibility.
Hi John,

Regarding new field partners, I see that on April 11, 2010, the first Tibetan microcredit institution, Tibet Yurong Microcredit Company, was established.  It certainly would be wonderful if we could help the Tibetan people!!!

Thank you.

Patricia
