Hi. I'm a new member. Just made my 1st loan today. I was wondering I know that amazon doesn't donate any percentage but if my first purchase is there do I get the $5 bonus or not Huh?
Never mind I got it at Abebooks instead which does donate but if anyone knows it would be good to know for future reference.

Oh Henry!! You are such a sucker for a beautiful woman and a great smile...I approve 100%.  When I get a second next week (after ALL the birthday celebrations are over and I get to see the new Harry Potter movie) I will set up a map for IGive.

DanaLi, If someone joins Igive/Kivaloans (or any IGive cause) and they make their first purchase by first opening their Igive/member page, then going to the mall to a store from that page you should get the $5.00 bonus.

It appears Abebooks (US) gives a 3.2% donation to your cause with a $6.00 maximum.

It can take from 1 - 30 days for a credit to show up in your IGive/member account.  As for KIVALoans, as soon as we have enough to purchase a Loan, I'm going to open up for a selection from active members to decide who/where/what to pick. Then we fund the loan.

Thanks for joining!

I signed up the other day for IGIVE, and am trying to make all my online purchases through here.  I'm happy to see I can buy some of my more expensive stuff, like Advantage for the cats (flea stuff).  I also did a drugstore.com purchase and a magazine purchase (yah, KIVA gave me justification for getting Asimov and another science fiction mag). Hopefully they will post the donations before I forget about them.

Must shop more for KIVA.

That's great, the magazine link really gives a good percentage!  For years I've been using Drugstore.com, when I found out about IGive, I started linking through there, probably raised about $45 to my local charity via Drugstore.com.  Now I play Bingo every month ($40) at that charity so I of course have moved my IGive to KIVA!!!!! Tongue

For my Magazine purchase that one showed up slow into my account.  The contact lens purchase showed up overnight.

Drugstore.com I made a purchase two days ago, and am waiting for it to post.  If you notice with Drugstore.com, you will get drugstore credits that (tempt?) you to return and make another purchase.  I almost always wait until I have $50.00 worth of items needed so that I get the free shipping.  For instance, my last purchase totaled $49, the order totaled 54, I had 6.00 drugstore bucks, and received free shipping.  oh yeah....and 4.8% to KIVALoans!

Just remember to go shopping from your Igive account page.

I think another loan should be coming soon!!!!
