I did this for the first time, and I am mad:
I joined this loan
http://www.kiva.org/lend/203171 a couple of weeks back, since I had not loaned to Azerbaijan in a while. 2 weeks later and after a repayment cycle, while the loan was still not even 50% funded, I checked the site again and now noticed a whopping 51% delinquency rate. I cannot recall having seen that when I made the loan, but maybe it was there. And anyway, I believe it is insane to have an MFI with over 50% delinquency still raise funds on Kiva.
I immediately sent Kiva an email asking them to withdraw me from the loan. I am not willing to lose even more than I have already lost on Kiva in such an obvious way. That was last Friday. Kiva still has not responded to my email. The loan is now fully funded.
Therefore, I ask for a button to enable lenders to withdraw their once given $25 until the loan is fully funded. It cannot be that hard to do that. And I am sure there are many out there that made a mistake in loaning in the first place and would be happy to change it.
