FYI, if you prefer the previous version, you can click on the itty bitty  Older version  link in the upper right of the main page and return to the previous look/design ("lend-classic").

The "classic" view doesn't let me search by country.   Undecided

Thanks, Diane! That's perfect! The look of the old with the speed of the new! And the back button works! If I want to search by country, I can switch back.

Hmmm,  my graph for "Partner" seems to show a grey area - which is about 5% of the graph - with no info in it.

Rounding errors?

Thanks for the link, Ian.  Mine does not have that grey section, but the slices do fade into white nothingness.  It doesn't seem to be the number of loans because ours are similar.

I totally agree with Diane that the numbers should be available for all countries.  I would prefer two columns in the old format, showing totals and active loans only.  Graphs would be a nice optional addition, particularly if I could set my preference in my profile...

Hi everyone!

I'm Ali Carroll, Kiva's Customer Service Coordinator, and I just wanted to give you all a full list of the changes that have been made on Kiva recently.

- Lenders finally have an easy statistic that tells them their Outstanding Loans in their portfolios

If you have questions or feedback about these changes, please let us know!

Hi Ali! Wave

I appreciate Kiva adding the Outstanding Loans amount to the the My Portfolio page, but the overall Loan Statistics page still is incomplete.

Ian's Summary spreadsheet includes an example of a comprehensive portfolio summary.  At the very least, Kiva should add a complete equality set of amounts to the Loan Statistics page.  Using Ian's layout columns, the Loan Statistics page would include...

Total Amount Lent
Total Amount Repaid
Total Amount Lost
Total Amount Refunded
Total Amount Outstanding Loans
The subtotals by Loan Status even could be included/hidden by using the "+"/"-" buttons.   Smiley

It doesn't seem to be the number of loans because ours are similar.

Maybe the grey area represents expired loans.   Undecided   I probably have a higher percentage than most.

Edit:  But then you would expect the grey area to be consistent in all four graphs, but it is non-existent in the Gender graph, very small (non-existent?) in the Sector graph, small in the Country graph, and large in the Partner graph.   Undecided Undecided

Hi everyone!

I'm Ali Carroll, Kiva's Customer Service Coordinator, and I just wanted to give you all a full list of the changes that have been made on Kiva recently.

- Rich profiles on the lender pages of Kiva Fellows (and alum) including links to their Kiva Fellows blogs (http://www.kiva.org/lender/andrew1107)
- Lenders finally have an easy statistic that tells them their Outstanding Loans in their portfolios
- Graphs were added to lender profiles and to the My Portfolio page  (http://www.kiva.org/lender/matt , scroll down to Portfolio Distribution)
- The lend tab search/filter was made better and faster (http://www.kiva.org/lend)

If you have questions or feedback about these changes, please let us know!

Ali
Hi, Ali!

The rich lender pages are great.  Can I have a rich team page, please?   Tongue

Can you tell me how the Outstanding Loans amount is calculated?  There is no help text on that point.  It shows a different number than subtracting the Total Amount Repaid from the Total Amount Lent.

Is it a simple css change to change the fonts and colors?  The new lend page is very difficult to read even with good vision.  I'm afraid people with low vision and other impairments won't be able to read the light grey on grey text at all.  Thanks for retaining the classic lend page, it is much easier on the eyes.

I have also noticed that there is less of the loan profile text visible with the new layout.  That may make it more difficult to get "hooked" by the lenders story.

Thanks for giving us the scoop on the changes!

I really like the look of the graphs, but I also agree that it'd be nice to have the old list of countries back. I don't have any problems with the look of the new version, but think I'll stick to 'classic' until you can search through loans without being taken back to 'page one--popularity sort' every time I hit the back button.

Hello Ali, thanks... and WOW !!!

Kiva doesn't do anything in small increments...
go on vacation for just a week... and it's a new learning curve Smiley
I think the pages are loading much faster for me.

so far the don't likes I have found are...

Graphs...I am only assuming that the graphs are supposed to show some kind of information on our totals loans (paid and unpaid) - they are very pretty and quite useless to me as a tool.  My preference would have gone to changing the original listed countries and percentages to show our outstanding loans.  But it's ok because I use KivaBank or KivaFolio.

Grey print is almost invisible to my eyes, old eyes I know, but still if I click more, I get not only more, I get the whole loan profile.

New search feature seems good until I get everything set, choose a loan to look at and then go back for another - my search choices were lost and I was back to step 1.  Ungood, this will only work for me if I *remember* to open loans in a new tab.

Aha - older version and then when there - back to Newer Version ... lol - I learned a long time ago to look for the tiny print when Kiva doesn't *really* want you to go there Smiley
