Displaying the number of items in the basket is a good idea. When users aren't aware or have forgotten that loans are lingering in their basket, they have now a further chance to empty it when leaving the site. Thus fewer problems during loan expiry time.

Minor bug for me in Firefox, after I have checked out the "x items" still lists the number of items that were in the basket before check out. The number remains even when I navigate away to another page.  Once I click onto the basket again where I get this notice...

... the indicator returns to "0 items".

Thanks for the bug report Kerry!

I just spent $25 trying to reproduce it, but failed alas.  But I passed the bug report along to our engineers, and they will dig into this bug.  Thanks!

Cheer up, John. Someone is grateful for your loan and we are grateful for your efforts!

You know what's kinda funny?  I used certain loan criteria last night to make a loan.  And then today when I made my loan, I used the same search parameters and ended up choosing the exact same borrower that I lent to yesterday!

I guess her loan hadn't funded yet, and also I am apparently greatly predictable!  I guess I tend to lend to women who remind me of my mom.

Just wondering if that "post to Facebook" popup after lending has been removed...

I don't recall seeing it either yesterday or just now...

thanks Wink

AHA - I just made another loan and saw on the thank you page a button to 'share on Facebook',

Jan, I saw a newly-added opportunity to post the loan to Facebook, on the upper left of that confirmation page you get now after you check out.  It was not a pop-up window, but a separate area on that page.

I don't know which thread this fits best in, but I received two emails from Kiva yesterday.  The first was a thank you for making our 273rd loan (kind of a nice touch).

The second was a "Your Credit is now Available for Use" email.  It posted one repayment which so happened to be the final pay off for this loan.  Was this just a coincidence or is Kiva now emailing final payoffs?   If so,  YEA!   Thumbs Up

Thanks!  We consolidated the post-checkout emails into a single email. :-)

Hmm I don't know if that fix has gone out yet.  I thought it was still in the works, but I could easily be wrong!

I liked that bit of personalization as well.  There is one thing that I didn't like and it is this wording:

Quote
ORDER SUMMARY
Maybe it is just me, and if so, I will learn to live with it.  But with lending to real people I would think there would be a better term that could be used other than order.  Anyone else, or is it me?

I can put in a request for a text change here.  Can you guys propose some alternate wording?

Thanks!
