"Jeffrey works alone at home making handicrafts such as flutes. This is the second loan that he has requested from Fodemi and he will invest it in buying wood cane (tunda) which is the raw material he uses in making his [traverse] flutes".

The featured borrower in this group is in his late 30s and is married, with with two children who go to school. He has been a DJ for 6 years. He works from 9.00 pm to mid-night and makes a good monthly profit.

This will be his 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to buy more instruments like guitars, and for household expenses, and has paid back all his loans successfully. He wants a new loan to buy better drums. His dream is to one day be able to improve on his instruments.

"Roxana, 23, is single and has no children. She is singer in a music group that entertains at all kinds of social events; they also travel to perform in the city of Cochabamba’s provinces. Roxana is the group’s vocalist and this loan is her first sequence within the institution. Roxana will use this loan to buy a musical instrument: a base [sic] guitar. The reason for asking for the loan is that the group needs a base [sic] guitar [...] Roxana wants her group to be recognized internationally".

"William is a 30 year old husband and father from Chupaca. He lives with his wife and son in his mother's house. He has six years experience as a musician. He plays the bass guitar and is part of a band that plays different types of music, from folk music to more modern rock and cumbia. The contracts he gets with his group are weekly and always has work. There are times that he is paid hourly. William's big dream is to have his own musical group and write his own songs. What he knows about music he learned from friends who taught him to play. He also has deeper knowledge about all types of music. As he says "customers like to hear everything"...If William receives your support, he will invest the money he has asked for in buying various sheep for his business. He will also pay to repair his musical instrument."

This client of Credo in Georgia is in his early 20's and lives with his parents, who are both music teachers.  He plays accordion and drums.  The accordion he uses belongs to the company he plays with.  He is using his Kiva loan to buy his own accordion, which will allow him to earn more income, apart from the company.
